NETWORKING

Wireless Network Setup $ 159

Our technicians will install and encrypt your wireless network so you can surf freely and keep the bad guys out.

A wireless network allows you to share your high-speed internet connection with every PC in your home. Which means you can browse the web from your laptop in the backyard, print from your couch and email work from your bed.

The Wireless Network Setup includes:

• Installation of a router and applicable cards to a high-speed source between 2 computers (wired or wireless).

• Configuration of router settings Username/Password, SSID and WEP to encrypt your network. Thus securing it from rogue intruders that lurk on the internet.

• Verify connections to make sure the networked computers can share and print (if applicable).

After your network is installed and up and running, our technician will walk you through Operating System's file and print sharing features and discuss any network limitations that you might have. If you would like, the technician will also give you a demonstration on power cycling procedures and virus/spyware security education.  Lastly, you get a wireless trouble-shooting brochure that gives you tips for what to do if you have any issues with a connection plus information about your secure network.

Note: Any additional computer (more than 2) added to the network will be $50 each.

Add a Device to an Existing Network

We’ll install a network card in the PC and set you up so that your file and print sharing is connected to your shared network resources. Broadband Service

Our technicians will establish a new broadband account for you or get you back up if you have a faulty modem.

Media Center® plus Network Setup

Have our technician set up and configure your entire home wireless network around your Media Center® computer.

Have our technician configure your entire home wireless network around your Media Center computer and you will bask in the gloriousness of it all. Just call 678.267.3059 and we’ll send our technician out to set up your wireless network and get your Media Center computer and broadband service connected. We’ll hook up the cabling for your Media Center computer or Media Center computer extender to your TV and/or receiver and remove the cabling for the A/V components that you don’t need anymore such as a DVD player or TiVo. Note: This service does not include universal remote programming or setup of home theater and A/V equipment that is not part of the Media Center computer setup.

PC-Mechanics will add a network storage device to your network so can keep your vital information stored in a safe spot.

We'll get you rolling with a new dial-up account or restore the connection to a dial-up service that's down.

Whether you need to get set up with a new dial-up account or you just need to restore the connection with your current service (such as MSN or AOL), PC=Mechanics can get you up and running on the web. Online Console Gaming Setup
